Outcome Chart - Saskatchewan - Psychology 20 – Social Psychology (Grade 11)
This outcome chart contains media-related learning outcomes from the Saskatchewan, Kindergarten English Language Arts curriculum, with links to supporting resources on the MediaSmarts site.
In the elementary curriculum in Saskatchewan, learning objectives for media studies are included as a category within the supporting domain, Oracy and Literacy: Media. Media-related objectives can also be found within Speaking and Listening, Reading and Response to Literature, Writing, Educational Drama, Research and Presentation and Computer Applications.
Learners will investigate selected examples of child rights issues around the world inclusive of Aboriginal human rights issues in Canada.
Learners will implement age-appropriate actions that demonstrate responsibility as global citizens.
The Language grades 1-8 released in 2023 is based in part on the principle that “a modern English curriculum reflects emerging technologies and their impact on communication and digital media literacy,” which is defined as combining “the ability to combine the multimodal properties of media literacy with the technological capabilities of digital literacy.”
