English Language Arts 3-5

In the Elementary Block, English Language Arts learners “develop their ability to find information they are looking for, they begin to support their opinions and perspectives. It is during these elementary years that learners use their skills to both grow their understanding of the world around them and share information with others.” They begin to use appropriate communication conventions, critically reflect on others’ ideas and opinions, connect and respond personally and critically to text, and create both written and media texts.
