TekSavvy

We were extremely pleased to welcome TekSavvy as a Silver Sponsor in 2017. This partnership has supported the creation of resources that teach young Canadians how to be ethical users of digital media.

In June 2017 at the Festival Franco-Ontarien in Ottawa, TekSavvy and MediaSmarts hosted a Cybersmarts event for over 100 students, ages 9-13. Inside TekSavvy’s tent at the Festival, teams of francophone students learned about ethical Internet use while competing for prizes by answering quizzes about good online habits and how to be upstanding citizens online.
