Overview

In this lesson, students develop their critical thinking skills by learning to recognize various types of logical fallacies, including those that are used by hate mongers to spread misinformation and fuel hatred and intolerance.

Learning Outcomes

The students will:

  • understand the importance of questioning any sort of information that is intended to persuade us
  • learn to recognize the “logic gaps and errors” in information that is presented as fact
  • become aware of both the blatant and subtle ways in which hatred is promoted in society ?
  • strengthen their own writing and debating skills.
