Curricular Competencies

Students will be able to develop the following curricular competencies using oral, written, visual, and digital texts:

Comprehending and Connecting

  • Express thoughts, feelings, opinions and preferences in relation to text
  • Develop an understanding of self, others, and the world though exploration and play
  • Develop and use a variety of reading strategies to make meaning from multiple types of text and build independence as a reader
